More Information
CNE and the Obici Healthcare Foundation (OHF) have partnered to bring the Build Your New Normal program to a cohort of six (6) to eight (8) local nonprofits. The program was developed to provide nonprofits a starting point as they consider mid and long-term plans for their mission and their organization. The program has been informed by resources from across the sector and is built to help nonprofits start important conversations as they begin building their new normal. Participating organizations gather a team of two (2) to three (3) individuals representing the board, staff leadership, or other appropriate stakeholders. Following the workshop, technical assistance is available to organizations to assist with crafting the organization’s program scenarios and financial scenario modeling. The New Normal program is composed of two parts:
Workshop Details
Program Scenario Planning
Tuesday, February 9th, 1-3 p.m.
The Program Scenario Planning is a two (2) hour virtual workshop. The session is an opportunity to begin framing each organization’s position and response to an evolving environment. Participants will review at least four key variables impacting programming such as economic conditions, public health conditions, workplace/facility conditions, and travel conditions. Each organization will identify possible program scenarios, current response strategy, and begin building the organization’s new normal.
Financial Scenario Modeling
Tuesday, February 23rd, 1-3 p.m.
The Financial Scenario Modeling is a two (2) hour virtual workshop and builds on the work developed during the Program Scenario Planning. The Financial Scenario Modeling recognizes that these uncertain times require that nonprofits maintain adaptability and be proactive in preparing for multiple scenarios related to their funding and expenses. The second part of the series is designed to aid in the assessment of program funding, revenue variability, revenue probability, and expense variability. It is designed to highlight areas of risk and opportunity and provide a basis for decisions regarding program expansion, contraction, and overall sustainability.
