The mobile pantry supplies nutritious food to needy families within the community.

This program was funded from 2012 - 2015. The grant promoted, cultivated and increased access to and consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grain, low-fat dairy and lean protein in Suffolk by expanding free healthy food distribution and included food sampling and a recipe for healthy food preparation. The clients, through surveying, revealed hypertension, high blood pressure and diabetic health issues. 97% of the clients reported that they learned about healthy eating and nutrition. Today the program continues in Suffolk.
