Ms. Beuchler comes to the Obici Healthcare Foundation with considerable philanthropic experience.  She was the Director of Programs & Communications at The Rapides Foundation located in Alexandria, Louisiana.  The Rapides Foundation is a healthcare legacy foundation with assets of $250M that serves a nine-parish area of Central Louisiana.

While at the Rapides Foundation, Ms. Beuchler was responsible for the development and implementation of the Foundation's strategic initiatives including oversight of all program activities.  She also led The Rapides Foundation's internal and external communications; maintained strategic partnerships with local, state, regional and national groups; and planned, developed and marketed major programs, projects and events.  Her work resulted in strengthening The Rapides Foundation's capacity to serve its population.

Ms. Beuchler earned both her B.S. degree and an M.B.A. in Healthcare Administration from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette.

Mike Brinkley
Director of Finance

Mike Brinkley serves the Foundation as its Director of Finance. He is responsible for the preparation of the Foundation’s accounting records and financial statements, as well as management of accounts payable and payroll. Mr. Brinkley has an extensive background in accounting and auditing, with concentration in the municipal field. Prior to joining the Foundation staff, he served the City of Suffolk as Assistant Director of Finance for 11 years, and then served as the Chief Financial Officer for Suffolk Public Schools as Director of Finance for over 19 years.

Mr. Brinkley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech. A lifelong resident of Suffolk, his health interests include tennis and biking.

Cathy Huband
Grants Manager

Cathy Huband is the Foundation's Grants Manager. Her responsibilities include monitoring the financial and programmatic goals of the Foundation's grantees and ensuring the timely completion of grantee reports.   Mrs. Huband manages the workflow for assigned grant portfolios to ensure responsive collaboration with staff.  She develops financial reports for the Board of Directors and Grants Committees and provides accounting of all grant distributions is in accordance to IRS Regulations. 

Mrs. Huband manages the Foundation data base providing collection and analysis of all grant reported data.  Her past work experience includes the Department of Defense in Human Resources, Target Corporation and Nansemond Suffolk Academy.

Tammie Mullins-Rice

Tammie Mullins-Rice is a Program Officer at the Foundation and is responsible for managing health-related projects and selected funding activities for the Foundation. In addition, Ms. Rice maintains and develops relationships with key health leaders and non-profit agencies necessary to advance the mission of the Foundation, which is to improve health and prevent illness and disease. Ms. Rice also maintains and updates the Foundation website. Prior to joining the Foundation staff, Ms. Rice was the development manager of the Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast where she directed fundraising activities for a regional non-profit organization providing girls 5-17 with leadership, service and outreach programs. An employee with the Girl Scouts for 13 years, she also held the positions of membership manager, membership specialist and development and marketing specialist.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland in Baltimore.

Diane Nelms
Program Officer

Diane Nelms is a Program Officer at the Foundation and assists in developing, managing and evaluating health-related projects and selected funding activities for the Foundation Board and Grants Committee from concept through proposal evaluation.  Other assignments include communications, capacity building programs and Foundation publications which include the Annual Report and the quarterly newsletter, In a Nutshell. Health related research will be assigned that supports mission related initiatives.

Diane comes to the Obici Healthcare Foundation following an 9+ year career at Nansemond-Suffolk Academy where she was the editor of the Fleur-de-Lis magazine/Publications Coordinator. She was also on the Washington, DC, legislative staff of United States Senator John Warner.

Diane graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a BA in Political Science and Economics.

Anna Roberts
Executive Assistant/Office Manager

Anna Roberts is the Foundation and Facility Assistant at the Foundation. This busy role includes supporting and assisting the Executive Director with the management of a variety of projects simultaneously as well as the assisting with coordination of events to support the Board, Board Committees and the Foundation.

Other duties include: facilitation of special projects and events, the coordination of all office related functions including operations, monthly documentation of organizational activities, contracts, maintenance of office equipment, software operations and staff and leave management.

Anna comes to the Obici Healthcare Foundation with 8+ years of experience in the healthcare industry.
